my6sense Debut's App for Android, Personalized News Feeds

You may not have heard of my6sense before unless you're a convert from the realm of iPhones. The app is essentially a newsfeed reader, but not in the normal sense. The premise of my6sense is that, over time, it learns what types of articles are important to you, and provides those as a unified news stream. In addition, it also supports connecting to Facebook, Twitter, and Google Buzz to add social content in to your mix. my6sense can additionally be configured to import your feeds from Google Reader. More details after the break.
Obviously, the key to my6sense is it's learning algorithm. As you click on articles to read, it begins to get a feel for what you are primarily interested in. This is ideal for people who, like myself, subscribe to numerous feeds, but typically only digest a portion of the articles that are presented. Since the app was just released today, I can't actually validate how well the learning aspect, or "intuition" as my6sense calls it, works, but in looking at how well the iPhone version of the app has been received, I have to assume it does a good job.
In looking through the app, you immediately have to get used to the fact that this isn't your typical news reader. You have to make some mental adjustments to how it works. Articles are not, by default, presented based on a timeline of newest to oldest. Instead, articles are listed according to relevance. Relevance to what? That's where the intuition portion comes in to play.
The app starts with a very broad view of what might be interesting to you. Over time, it begins to fine tune that intuition, and according to those who have used it on iPhone, by day three or four, you'll be amazed at how well it's prediction engine works.
Unfortunately, my testing of the app this morning has pretty much come to a standstill. It seems that the my6sense.com servers have become rather overwhelmed due to the volume of new users trying to use the app. According to their latest tweet, the my6sense team is working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
I must admit that I hope they do. I am very much looking forward to trying it out once the network has stabilized. In the mean time, here's a video from their web site that gives the grand tour. Yes, I know it refers to the iPhone version of the app, but the Android version is supposed to be very similar.
