Solution is coming for Android 2.2's lousy audio streaming

Android 2.2 does a lot of things right.  Unfortunately, as many users have noticed, streaming music is definitely not one of them, at least in some cases.  Since the release of Froyo for the EVO last week, numerous complaints have surfaced all over the internet about poor sounding audio when streaming music from online services such as Pandora.  If you aren't sure what we're talking about, just take a look at the bug report on the Google Code website.  The good news is the bug has been found, and a fix is coming.

Google and Verizon: We heart the Internet, Net Neutrality for everyone, except for wireless

Last week, numerous rumors begin surfacing around the internet that Google and Verizon were partnering up to stab net neutrality in the back.  This came at the same time that the FCC called off its closed door meetings with industry leaders on the same topic.  We opted to not report on the supposed Google/Verizon plot until the rumors were confirmed.  It appears that, in fact, they were somewhat false.  Today, the two corporations announced a joint statement on Internet policy that details an open Internet for everyone, but still leaves some loopholes in there for specialized services.  More obvious though is that they conveniently excepted wireless.
