Get to Know Google Goggles and Google Voice Actions Better

Google loves to make movies.  Well... clips anyway.  Today, they launched the Google Mobile YouTube channel.  While I was checking it out, I ran across the Google Goggles videos as well, which I don't think we've actually covered here on Robot Briefs before.  So grab the kids and some popcorn and make the jump to see some Google engineers in what will certainly be Academy Award winning performances.  All the while, you might pick up a thing or two about Goggles and Voice Actions that you might not have known.

Cool Uses for Google Voice Actions

Google Voice Actions is a pretty cool feature on Android phones.  If you haven't used it much, you should give it a try.  You may have to get over that nervous, awkward feeling of talking to your phone when there's no one actually on the line, but that passes quickly as you use it more.

Google Voice Actions has a lot of great built in functionality with it's base commands.  However, with these cool tips, courtesy lifehacker.com, you can do even more with the speech recognition engine.

Google adds new voice actions to Search Box

Android just keeps getting better and better.  Today's big announcement from Google is some very cool new features to the Google Search Box: Voice Actions for Android.  With these new actions, accessible by pressing the microphone button in the search box, allow you to perform a number of tasks, ranging from calling contacts to browsing the web.  More information after the jump.
